Instagram Marketing Plan Group Project

In a Principles of Marketing class, I was tasked with investigating Instagram's marketing plan alongside three other team members. This was a semester-long project where we closely examined various aspects of Instagram's marketing strategy, including their BCG Matrix, marketing goals, and overall positioning in the market. We researched how Instagram aligns its marketing efforts with its broader objectives, as well as how it utilizes different platforms and strategies to engage users and drive growth. Through this, we gained valuable insights into the company’s approach to audience segmentation, content strategies, and competitive advantage.

This project allowed me to dive deeply into Instagram's marketing tactics and provided hands-on experience in evaluating and analyzing the effectiveness of their strategies. It was a great opportunity to understand how large-scale platforms tailor their marketing plans to meet evolving business goals and consumer expectations. Email Response Assignment

In my Business Communication class, I was assigned a project where I had to review and provide feedback on an email draft for a fictional supervisor. The task was to help improve the clarity, tone, and professionalism of the message. I approached this assignment by proofreading the email for grammatical errors and offering suggestions to better align the content with the needs of the intended audience. Additionally, I rewrote the email entirely, focusing on simplifying the language and restructuring the message to make it more direct and effective. Then, I wrote an email replying to the supervisor, politely telling her what I had changed.

This project helped me develop my editing and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide constructive feedback in a professional setting. To view my suggested revisions and the improved version of the email, feel free to check out the attached document!

Non-Verbal Communication in Business Project

In my Business Communication class, I was assigned to create and deliver an engaging and informative presentation on a current topic in professional development. Over the course of four weeks, I worked with three other classmates to research and craft a presentation on how non-verbal communication impacts the workplace. We explored various aspects of body language, facial expressions, and other non-verbal cues, analyzing how they influence workplace dynamics, leadership, and team collaboration.

This project helped me develop strong communication and presentation skills, while also deepening my understanding of how non-verbal communication plays a crucial role in professional settings. It was a great experience in collaborating with others to present complex ideas in a clear and engaging way. To view the presentation in more detail, feel free to download the PDF!

Data Tracking Activity

I participated in a data tracking activity using Grammarly's weekly email reports throughout the semester. This activity was particularly rewarding because it helped me track my progress as a writer while receiving valuable insights into areas I could improve. Grammarly’s feedback, such as grammar corrections, vocabulary enhancements, and style suggestions, was delivered directly to my inbox, giving me real-time data to reflect on. I was able to measure my improvement each week, which made me feel like I was genuinely developing my writing skills.

This experience taught me not only how to track my growth as a writer but also the importance of using data to make continuous improvements.

Feedback Reflection

Receiving and giving feedback in my Business Communication class has been incredibly helpful in improving my communication skills. I have gained valuable insights into how my writing and presentations are perceived by others. This has allowed me to identify areas for improvement that I might have missed on my own, such as refining my tone, making my points clearer, or improving the structure of my work. Feedback has also provided me with specific suggestions on how to enhance my communication, which has helped me become more mindful of my audience and better at tailoring my messages to suit different contexts.

On the other hand, giving feedback to my peers has been equally beneficial. It has challenged me to critically analyze others' work and think deeply about how to communicate constructive suggestions effectively.  Additionally, providing feedback has sharpened my ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in writing, which has directly translated into better self-assessment and revision of my own work. Overall, the feedback exchange in this class has been a powerful tool for personal and professional growth, enhancing both my communication and analytical skills.
